LUCIFER is helping Vatican astronomers look for extraterrestrials?

A new book claims that Vatican astronomers are looking for extraterrestrials. And they are using LUCIFER to do it. Although it shares the same name as Christianity’s fallen angel and the personification of evil, LUCIFER is an instrument attached to a telescope.

As Popular Science explains, LUCIFER is an acronym for the instruments lengthy title, “Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research.” This instrument is attached to the University of Arizona’s Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) located on Mt. Graham in south eastern Arizona. The Vatican-owned Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) is right next door.

According to EcumenicalNews.com, authors of a new book assert that Vatican astronomers are using both the VATT and the LBT’s LUCIFER instrument to watch for an alien savior. Tom Horn and Chris Putnam, authors of Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican’s astonishing plan for the arrival of an alien savior, visited with the Jesuit astronomers at the VATT, including Guy Consolmagno.

The authors claim that Consolmagno revealed to them documents showing that the Vatican believes “that we are soon to be visited by an alien savior from another world.”

The authors claim they will back up their assertions with documented sources when their book is released on April 15.

Guy Consolmagno speaks regularly about science and religion. In a 2010 interview, he told The Guardian, “Any entity – no matter how many tentacles it has – has a soul.” He made headlines because of this interview, in which he said he would offer to baptize an extraterrestrial being if one requested.

Consolmagno has also stated that the Pope and the Vatican are keen on science, and they are kept up-to-date on the latest scientific developments by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.

That acronym is a real stretch. That just tells me they really wanted to name the thing LUCIFER more than anything. LOL

Also, are you sure the Vatican is looking for aliens? Just wondering, with a name like LUCIFER.

Br. Guy has denied that he ever said that the Vatican is looking for extra-terrestrial life.

Horn and Putnam ought to be ashamed. They are trying to profit off of unwarranted anti-Catholic paranoia. As J. D. Leavitt has already made clear (“Heretically Orthodox,” 2013), the Vatican has publicly addressed the issue of the possibility of extraterrestrials in recent years. Their statement on the matter remains that their existence would not be theologically threatening, that they might not necessarily have a fallen nature in need of salvation, and that any with a fallen nature would be able to find salvation in Jesus Christ.

LOL offers to baptise an Alien..

I think they are a bit smarter than to fall into that Religion Trap that has kept us dumb for the last 5000 years.. We are just catching up to where we used to be..

LUCIFER was named by the russian company that designed and built it. Im sure the Vatican was not to pleased with the name,, and to my knowledge they do not call it that.

so i guess the world isn’t done being @@#$#!ed by the Vatican,, throughout history thieve use world beliefs to manipulate and distort the truth to control the mass,, if this wasn’t true,, then why do they keep all the information they have hidden and locked up , so the public cant know truth , only there interpretation and limited literature thieve compiled for us ,picking and choosing what to leave in and to leave out , since Jesus when they founded and united the catholic church , they took truth , scripture and manipulated it for political and economic gain , paving the way for the time when the world was at another turning point to mislead and f**k the world off again , so the telescope is named rite ,,,

The Vatican eats dinner with demons so this is no surprise. The AntiChrist will rise from the Catholic church and his puppets are just paving the way. Blind Bats!

De-bunked to some degree. Yes, the Vatican is looking for ET as they have for thousands of years. However, the LUCIFER telescope was as stretch. A far stretch. Internet at its finest.
