The U.S. government has not acknowledged that it has investigated a UFO case and have been unable to identify it since 1969 when they closed Project Blue Book, the U.S. Air Force’s last official UFO research project. However, this weekend it was revealed that the Department of Defense (DoD) has had a secret UFO investigation project since 2007, and this revelation might not of come had it not have been for the efforts of rock star Tom DeLonge.

At a recent special event held by the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada, a panel of former and current CIA employees answered questions about Area 51 and the discussion included talk about UFOs. However, their answers left some, including local media, doubting.

What has been learned from an examination of these files and other online resources is that the CIA policy of releasing UFO documents has been less than forthcoming and in at least one case the policy has been reversed.

Open Minds UFO Radio: John Greenewald has spent the last 17 years filing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for information on UFOs.

If you were going to cast the character of a brilliant eccentric scientist for a Spielberg-type sci-fi movie, the late NASA astrophysicist Dr. Thornton Leigh Page (1913-1996) would fit the role perfectly.
