Kean makes a common error here. The DOD person has no evidence, just a declaration that UFOs are real. Useless. Why bother fawning and worshiping former government functionaries and an 80 year old physicist? Stop the stupid cheerleading, never trust “nice”. Nice, brilliant, and other adjectives don’t cut it.
Delong owns 60,000,000 shares (60 million) of common stock in the company known as To the Stars Academy. As a founder, these shares of common stock cost essentially zero money to Delong. He is selling common stock at $5.00 per share. These shares are not bought and sold on any stock exchange. If they don’t reach their target, these investors are screwed. Then there is the inevitable dilution of shares.
Buy some stock at $5.00, sell it to your Aunt Beatrice for whatever she is willing to pay. Bitcoin anyone?
I do not think she is making a mistake. She is noting the importance of someone within the DOD who investigated unknown “threats” who now believes some of them are unidentified craft exhibiting advance technology that is beyond our own. She never said he had proof, just noting the significance of someone in his position saying this. Dr. J. allen Hynek and Nick Pope are two other people who worked on this issue in an official capacity that came to believe the same. It demonstrates the information out there is compelling. That is very noteworthy. No one is claiming proof.
As for the stock, it is no doubt a leap of faith. However, from my conversation with the people involved they genuinely wish to accomplish the goals they have shared, and will do everything within their ability to make it happen. I believe of they do not raise the funds, they will want to do what is best for those who invested to make sure they are satisfied with the whatever method they use to make everyone whole again. None of them want to do anything that will reflect poorly on them, and they I believe they do care about their investors’ wellbeing.
Thanks Alejandro. I was willing to concede your point regarding Kean, but in the end it is a logical fallacy to appeal to authority without evidence. Whether the DOD guy here, or Dr. Edward Mitchell, they are no more credible because of their stature. The world did not change when the 6th man on the moon made his claims about ET. That is a rational tribute to the power of evidence.
I’m not a debunker. For example I’ll give you one (who needs more than that) incident that has very good, corroborated evidence: Japan Air 1628. This one incident is way more compelling than almost anything Nick Pope has revealed. Hynek finally realized that the best hypothesis for some sightings is ET. Dr. Jacques Valle’s point about the UFO phenomena as being something other than just ET craft deserves more science, IMO.
Delong’s “equity crowdfunding” scheme is a buyer beware thing. The offering does mention the risks involved. It is essentially mimicking an IPO (Initial Public Offering) without the public part. Might as well sell common stock on eBay. I don’t think fraud is involved here. Delong’s media division (comic books and such) has a chance. They are very thin on the science part. If Tom succeeds, I’ll play some Blink 182 music to honor him, as I gaze out at the Trifid nebula from my faster than light craft, perhaps invented by an 80 year old physicist.

I’m not sure how this differs much from other endeavors and projects of interest in this field, or other inside whistleblowers, credible witnesses, high-ranking officials, etc. who have come forward over the decades. For those holding the cards, I’m not sure they have more reason to release information than before. And for the average person on the street, it’s still a wait-and-see proposition. But I have seen some unusual and interesting things in the sky. So I keep watching.
Well, Queen Starfire, I think the sort of individuals involved in this effort increases the potential for the type of evidence you speak of in the future. *fingers crossed* BTW, thank you for your kind words and your bestowing upon me the title of magnificent.
After Delonge’s announcement I spent some time reading comments around the web and came to the conclusion that there is certainly a lot of bitterness out there in the world. I can’t help but feel that ‘conspiracy theories and UFOs’ attract a large percentage of people who are dissatisfied in life and thrive on their own misery. Even when given what they want they find something to complain about, they probably complain at Christmas about the amount of sticky tape on the gifts they receive. Unfortunately, those that are genuinely enthusiastic about the subject and want to cooperate are often the polite ones with the quietest voices.
I work in engineering, with aerospace engineers, I think most conspiracy theories are a load of nonsense, however, I am enthusiastic about this announcement because it proposes to push the boundaries, think outside the box and not be negative or dismissive. The Skunkworks engineer in the broadcast quoted “Expect to be given all the reasons that something cannot be done, fortunately there are those who know when not to listen.” This is paramount to engineering and progress, do you think the builders of the Giza pyramids were negative and dismissive?
I look forward and will invest a little in this venture, if nothing but to show my agreement with that one statement.
To anyone reading the negative comments and finding themselves drawn into that dull, pessimistic and bitter world, learn to think for yourself and know when not to listen, even when that crowd is shouting the loudest.
