Argentine Air Force’s UFO study releases their first report

Argentina’s Air Force (FAA) has an official UFO investigation organization which studies photo and video UFO cases. Although they were established in mid-2011, they have just recently released their first report.

The FAA first announced the creation of a commission to investigate UFO reports in late December, 2010. In May, 2011, they officially launched the Commission for the Investigation of Aerospace Phenomena (CEFAe) with a ceremony at the Condor Building in Buenos Aires, the FAA Headquarters where CEFAe is also located.

Since then, not much has been heard from the organization, until now.

The website Inexplicata – The Journal of Hispanic Ufology  posted a translated story about a report posted on CEFAe’s website. The CEFAe website is very simple with just a few paragraphs of text explaining who they are and a link to download a form for UFO reports with photos or video. Below that is another simple link to the PDF report of cases they have investigated in 2015.

It is perhaps the most simple and bare website of any government or military on the internet.

The report is a bit more exciting – just a bit – and includes the investigation of 10 cases, most of which were reported in January, 2015. The investigators appeared to find prosaic answers to the cases. All but one of the cases included photos or videos.

One interesting aspect to CEFAe is that it relies on the help of civilian UFO investigators. In fact, most of the cases list who aided in the investigation, some of which are civilians. This adds to the transparency to the process.

We have posted a Google translated version of the report below. The original Spanish version can be found at the CEFAe website here.

Argentina is not the only South American country with an official UFO investigation organization. Uruguay, Chile and Peru also research the phenomenon in an official capacity with dedicated depertments. According to Jose Lay, the Director of International Affairs for Chile’s Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFAA), South American countries take the UFO issue much more seriously than the U.S.

The English translated report…

STUDY OF AEROSPACE PHENOMENA RESOLUTIONS REPORT OF CASES 2015

Sightings cases presented here include all those testimonies CEFAe sent through its website, have occurred since 2015, although functional / administrative reasons, covering the period Nov/2014 – Nov / 2015.

The method of analysis used comprises a combination of several techniques, depending on the photographed or filmed object: from simple observation, and reading data compared to anything known in the aerospace field, to the comprehensive analysis (Compositional, qualitative and technical) of the evidence presented. In order not to incur extensive explanations on the methods used in each case and the details sent by every witness, have only listed the conclusions reached, accompanied by the photographic record or capture video sent by them.

In some cases it has resorted to more than one specialist, in order to extrapolate partial each and arrive at the most precise and accurate conclusions resolutions on the real cause of the phenomenon. They have been used, including, astronomical programs and satellite to exclude natural or technological causes.

While all the cases analyzed here, they have proved compatible with causes known origin, are nevertheless very valuable testimony from the point of view of UFO research, especially in the corroboration of the existence of an overwhelming percentage of IFO (Identifiable Objects) resulting from honest interpretations but erroneous, which have been confused with extraordinary ordinary objects.

Photos and videos received, although it has been resolved as classic “IFO”, have a great educational value for students, also serving as examples of ufology compared internationally.

The cases are grouped chronologically. Most have been titled with the name Witness (who previously gave its consent). Some cases have been captioned Only place and date not count on the consent of the witness for his name is published.

In order to maintain the highest standards of transparency, if they eventually emerge discrepancies with the above conclusions, it is invited to them to be presented who adduce opposition personally, in our office, bringing evidence strong showing otherwise. While everyone has the right to express  freely, any discrepancy poured into social networks or internet forums without personally confronted with our results, it will not be considered an opposition scientifically valid.

RESOLUTION CASE FALLS NATIONAL PARK (26 / Nov / 2014)

VIDEO CAPTURE SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-1

Stellarium SIMULATION FOR THE DATA PROVIDED BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-2

CONCLUSION: The filmed object is compatible with the star “Rigel” (β Orionis) in perfect match with the dial observed: date, time and geographical location Witness

CASE RESOLUTION: DANIEL GIUSIO (1 / Jan / 2015)

Submitted photo WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-3

CONCLUSION: The photographed object supports three lights regulation of aeronautical use for night flying. In this case the aircraft is facing forward (it is moving toward the witness). While strokes appear “elongated” due to the exposure time of the photo (which not require a tripod to move out), they can be clearly seen lights navigation wingtips: Starboard (green), Port (red) and the (white) center that can match both the lighthouse and to the nose light the top of the tail fin.

Analysis: CEFAe, with the collaboration of Ariel Maderna.

CASE RESOLUTION: CARLOS PAZ (1 / Jan / 2015)

Submitted photo WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-4

Stellarium SIMULATION FOR DATA SENT BY THE WITNESS

Argentina-UFO-5

CONCLUSION: The objects photographed and observed during the time interval They are supported by a combination of ENVISAT satellite pass, the Space Station International (ISS Zarya) and β variable star pulsating Crane, simultaneous coinciding with the observed quadrant date, time and geographical location of the witness.

6

CASE RESOLUTION: SERGIO CANTEROS (Ituzaingó, Ctes, 2 Jan 2015)

Submitted photo WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-6

CONCLUSION: The photographed object is compatible with a small ball dimensions, thrown into the air a short distance from the camera. In communication with the witness, the same concerns that went to the beach with their children, carrying only bicycles and spontaneously said “… they wore no ball with them. “This sighting reaches a maximum level of strangeness only if considered related by the witness about how the object appeared and He disappeared (according to him, suddenly and without moving in any direction). The witness states that upon arrival at, “The object was not there and that (after seeing him and get one photo) when he lowered the camera the object was gone. ” Oddly enough, this tiny part of the story suffers from the fit also have a stage ball thrown into the air.

While high shutter speed (1 / 909avo second) has been able to “freeze” the object in the sky, however … the extension thereof and the analysis of pixelated It emerges that the sphere exhibits a faint vertical movement, compatible with high on a parabolic trajectory.

Analysis: CEFAe collaboration with Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos and Ariel Maderna.

7

CASE RESOLUTION: VALERIA ZIVELONGHI (Santa Clara del Mar – 3 / Jan / 2015.)

PHOTO SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-7

Stellarium SIMULATION FOR DATA SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-8

CONCLUSION: The object photographed (newly discovered by witness after seeing photo processed) it is compatible with the planet Jupiter in perfect match with the quadrant observed on date, time and geographical location of the witness.

8

CASE RESOLUTION: MARIANA RODRIGUEZ (Capilla del Monte –

10 / Jan / 2015)

PHOTO SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-9

CONCLUSION: Although the object that caused the photo is the Cerro Uritorco, the small flying object that was discovered only after the witness see the photo processed (here framed by a golden circle on the part center left of the picture), is compatible with a bird crossing in front of the camera.

Analysis: CEFAe, with the collaboration of Ariel Maderna.

9

CASE RESOLUTION DIB JORGE (Route 8 alt Venado Tuerto -. 10 / Jan / 2015)

Submitted photo WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-10

CONCLUSION: The photographed object is compatible with a couple of lights Red stop antenna, photographed in rural areas, at night and with a slight involuntary camera movement.

In communication with the control, it said that while driving his vehicle photo was taken by his wife, from the passenger seat to through the glass.

Several scenarios identical photos were taken by our contributor Ariel Maderna who managed to get very similar lines, allowing reproduce the cause of the sighting.

Analysis: CEFAe, with the collaboration of Ariel Maderna.

10

CASE RESOLUTION: SATURNINO FERNANDEZ (Salta – 13 / Jan / 2015)

VIDEO CAPTURE SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-11

Stellarium SIMULATION FOR DATA SENT BY THE WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-12

CONCLUSION: The filmed object is compatible with the moon through the roof celeste, in perfect agreement with the observed quadrant date, time and location Geographic witness.

11

CASE: MARTIN MUÑIZ (Quilmes – 3 / Mar / 2015)

CONCLUSION: This case, unfortunately, has not been solved for failure Witness received any photo or video to accompany his statement. Our method scientist requires the entry of two elements: 1) the witness (Form Filler Data) and 2 °) Test (photo, video or material evidence).

Nevertheless, references testimonial (light circular, about 50 cm. Of diameter, red with sharp edges, sharp turns, that “crossed the street” and then he seemed to “be on the wall”) converge towards compatibility with: “Red Spot ‘ Look or LASER pointer, projected onto the street and then on the outer wall of his building from a distance of over 100 m.

12

CASE RESOLUTION: west access (28 July 2015, BA Province.)

Submitted photo WITNESS:

Argentina-UFO-13

CONCLUSION: The photographed lights (for very slow moving, as reported by the witness) correspond to a single flying object and are Regulatory support three aeronautical use lights for flight Night located in the center and the port side of a helicopter (see example in lower right corner).

The shift from the north west quadrant corroborates the fact the aircraft showed his left side toward the witness. In these cases, the form of the “triangle” is often changing as the aircraft moves relative to the observer.

The sound that the witness reported having heard during the sighting is consistent with helicopters producing powered engines piston.

  1. Sounds promising. There are so many interesting things worth observing carefully in the sky, ovnis or not. Good for them!

Have you ever come across modern revisits to the spectacular sightings around 1977-1982 of circular cloud UFOs described here —
    http://www.debunker.com/texts/giant_ufo.html

  2. I looked at this article on the Inexplictata website and its states that when they asked the Argentine Air Force about its cases, a representative replied “these are cases reported by people, and those that could be solved were published.” Well, that’s not very transparent to the people wanting more information on REAL UFO cases!! Stupida!!

  3. So, they were all explained/debunked to nothing. What about the real cases? And the link to the CEFAe website is 404…
