Open Minds UFO Radio: Lee Speigel is a journalist who has also spent decades researching and writing about UFOs. In the 70s, he organized a presentation of credible UFO information to the United Nations as part of Granada’s attempt to have the U.N participate in UFO investigations. Currently, he is working with James Fox on Fax’ latest UFO documentary. Fox is often credited with producing the best UFO documentaries, especially from a credibility standpoint.

The real Project Blue Book, which ran from 1952 to 1969, and was an official U.S. Air Force program to investigate UFOs, is no longer active. However, for the upcoming History Channel TV series based on the real Project Blue Book, a Project Blue Book Headquarters was set up in the parking lot of San Diego’s Petco Park during Comic-Con. They were taking UFO sighting reports and having artists recreate them while also giving debriefings on UFOs.

Stanton Friedman, perhaps the world most well-known UFO researcher, is retiring this year. Stanton is responsible for making the alleged crash of a UFO near Roswell in 1947 famous.

Open Minds UFO Radio: This year’s annual Roswell UFO festival was another success. The festival began with the 50th anniversary and continues to this day. The UFO Museum has broken attendance records for the last few years, so festival attendance is going strong. However, there was a unique aspect to this year’s festival that will make future events feel a bit like they are missing something.

In 2004 the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSP) tracked UFOs on more than one occasion spanning several days off the coast of San Diego. It turns out an investigation of this event was conducted by a secret group within the Pentagon investigating UFOs. The existence of this UFO project made worldwide headlines after a New York Times published an article on the subject in December of last year.

Every year at the International UFO Congress UFO researchers gather to share their latest findings and network with their fellow researchers. In 2015 and 2106, the International UFO Congress did something unique. They held UFO Jeopardy panels. Several UFO researchers went head to head regarding trivia related to UFO and alien research. A researcher who discovered peculiar material at the site where many believe an alien spacecraft crashed is saying the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) may be confiscating the material next week. He says he is on the brink of proving the material is of extraterrestrial origins and is seeking help to keep the BLM from stopping his research.

Open Minds UFO Radio: Dr. John Alexander is a retired senior Army officer with decades of experience with a wide range of phenomena. As a former member of Army Intelligence and investigator for Bigelow's NIDS organization, John has a unique insight into the recent news regarding BAASS' association with the DoD.

According to a ranking member of the U.S. House Science Subcommittee on Space, the recent revelation the Pentagon investigated UFOs piqued his interest. He says he suggested to the head of the subcommittee and the chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology that hearings be held on the matter. A fellow politician and an advisor to the White House on space agree that it is a subject that should be taken seriously.

Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell is a documentary filmmaker and contemporary artist. He launched his series Extraordinary Beliefs in 2015 and since then has created several compelling documentaries on various paranormal phenomena, mostly centered around UFO and alien abduction themes. Jeremy has been able to work with George Knapp to create a documentary with footage that has never been seen by the public of an investigation by Bigelow Aerospace’s Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) division.

I had the opportunity to interview astronaut Scott Kelly recently and, of course, I had to ask him about UFOs. Kelly has spent over 520 days in space during four different missions. In one mission alone he spent 340 consecutive days on the International Space Station. The longest time any U.S. astronaut has spent in space on a single mission.
