Strange lights appeared in the sky above the market town of Chippenham in Wiltshire, England on the afternoon of October 10th. Emma Chorley, a seventeen-year-old hairdresser, was on her way home from lunch when she noticed two lights outside the car’s passenger window. Her boyfriend and another friend were with her in the car, and saw the lights as well. She described the lights as moving quickly and looking like light bulbs.
Other sightings have been reported in the area recently – some of which have been suggested to be Chinese lanterns. Commenting on her sighting, Chorley said, “I have no idea what they could have been but they definitely weren’t Chinese lanterns – I have seen plenty of those.”
Chorley also commented, “It was very strange. And it was also weird that it happened on 10/10/10.”
