Larry Hatch, UFO Database Creator, Remembered

Larry created from the ground level one of the most robust UFO databases up until that time – the *U* UFO Database. This was a database that the public could use on their home PCs. The *U* Database itself could do queries based on word search, geography, or UFO characteristics.

Former director of the Roswell International UFO Museum and Research Center passes

I was recently informed of the passing of Julie Shuster, the former director of the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico. Julie ran the museum for many years, and was the daughter of the public information officer at the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) in 1947 who was tasked with releasing a press release regarding the crash of a flying saucer.

Roswell witness Jesse Marcel Jr. passes at 76 (Video)

Jesse Marcel Jr. was the son of the U.S. Air Force intelligence officer who first examined the crash debris found by Mac Brazel near Roswell, New Mexico in early July of 1947. His father had told him about the event and had shown him and his mother some of the debris that was recovered. Marcel passed away in his home on Saturday, August 24, due to a suspected heart attack.
