Keith Chester, author of Strange Company: Military Encounters with UFOs in World War II, was the guest last night on Open Minds Radio.

Strange Company is the first in-depth account of unconventional aircraft observed and reported by the military during World War II. It includes the reactions by military commands, their viewpoints, and theories as they struggled to make sense of the observations. Strange Company presents one of the greatest wartime mysteries, one that has been shrouded in ignorance for more than sixty years. And it suggests that while an immense twentieth century war was raging on Earth, there appeared to be someone, or something, from somewhere else, watching us.

Awaiting The Cumbre Mundial Ovni Conference

Alejandro Rojas, Antonio Huneeus, and I have arrived in Mexico City for the Cumbre Mundial Ovni conference that begins this afternoon at the World Trade Center. The trip here has already been extremely informative, as I have found the case to be with most UFO conferences. It is incredible just listening to so many career UFO researchers discussing their experiences over the years, and hearing the various viewpoints that exist on certain topics.

Our Open Minds team had the pleasure of enjoying dinner last night with the wonderful company of Don Schmitt, Michael Salla, and the wonderful gentleman himself, Robert Dean. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that Robert Dean is a last-minute addition to the conference, and will be speaking on the final day of the event.

IUFOC 2010 – Day 4

Day four came to a close last night, making the 2010 International UFO Congress more than half-way complete. The day was filled with interesting talks yesterday, including a presentation by Lt. Col. Donald Ware, who proposed that several intelligent species are present on Earth, and four of those have the technology for flying saucers.

However, it was Chuck Zukowski’s presentation that I found most interesting. Chuck delivered information related to recent investigations of the Roswell incident. His talk was filled with great photos from his investigations, and his delivery was extremely engaging.

Additionally, Chuck Zukowski was a guest last night on the fourth episode of Live From Laughlin. The show also contained a live interview with Barbara Lamb, and a video montage (created by Congress Production Manager Carlo Petrick) showing the first four days of the Congress.

Last night concluded with the popular Meet The Speakers cocktail party, and this year, the attendance was incredible with more than 500 people enjoying the food, the dancing, and the company.

IUFOC 2010 – Day 3

Nearing the half-way point, day three of the International UFO Congress showed even a larger turnout than day 2, and the energy was very high. A packed room eagerly listened to the presentations throughout the day. Dolores Cannon’s talk about visitors from other planets kept the audience engaged, and her charming sense of humor made for a wonderful presentation. However, my favorite presentation of the day came from Marc D’Antonio, MUFON’s photo and video analyst. Marc’s presentation took a critical look at UFO photo and video evidence, and provided an enlightening look at photos and videos of UFOs, while encouraging people to take a more critical look at so called “evidence.”

The third episode of Open Minds’ live show, Live From Laughlin” aired last night with very special guest Bob Brown. Bob is one of the founders of the Congress, and his interview provided a touching and personal look into the creation of the International UFO Congress 19 years ago. Unfortunately, due to some technical issues related to hotel capabilities here in Laughlin, the show encountered some difficulties. However, we have been recording our shows, and we hope to put up the full, technical-issue-free versions, on our website some time following the conference.

IUFOC 2010 – Day 2

The size of the audience was visibly larger for day two of the International UFO Congress. The speakers were all interesting, but it was Daniel Sheehan who brought the audience to their feet. Sheehan received a standing ovation following his presentation that addressed philosophical and theological questions raised by human contact with extra-terrestrial intelligence. After his lecture, Daniel also led a supplementary presentation to a more intimate audience.

Open Minds aired the second episode of Live From Laughlin last night, with guest John Ventre, MUFON PA State Director. The third episode will air tonight, live at 7:30PM PST, with very special guest, Bob Brown, a founder of the International UFO Congress. Be sure to tune in for this special broadcast.

IUFOC – Day 1

The 19th Annual International UFO Congress kicked off yesterday in Laughlin, Nevada. This year is only my second year in attendance at the Congress, but I’m still amazed to see the passion and excitement the attendees at this conference have for the UFO subject. The organizers, staff, and volunteers who make this event a reality are such a wonderful group of individuals, and more than that, they are a very close family. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing many of them for more than a year now, and it’s a joy to see these great people again.

The first day of the Congress was enlightening, but my favorite speaker was my British mate, Ross Hemsworth. Ross also appeared on our live show “Live From Laughlin,” which premiered last night.

Stan Romanek in Phoenix

On Sunday, January 24th, abductee Stan Romanek presented evidence pertaining to his case in a 3.5 hour event sponsored by Open Minds. Stan led the audience through a chronological summary of his case, touching on some of the bizarre occurrences that make the Romanek case so controversial.

Strange events have become commonplace in Stan’s life over the past several years. He claims to have been beaten up, shot at, and regularly receives mysterious phone calls. I’ve heard recordings of several of these calls, but had never personally heard it happen live until last Friday.

Stan Romanek was the guest on Open Minds Radio on Friday, January 22nd. He called in from Colorado to participate in a phone interview with host Alejandro Rojas. When Stan was describing details of his first abduction, a digital voice interrupted Stan, saying, “You need to learn to keep your mouth shut.” The phone line then went dead. When this happened during the show’s production, we all looked at each other with bewilderment. While there is no way of knowing if this occurrence was truly some mysterious person/being breaking into the call, or just a cheap fabrication to create a buzz, it certainly was something interesting to experience firsthand.

The presentation given by Stan Romanek in Phoenix was filled with photos, videos, and audio clips, but was only a sample of the material associated with his case. For those of you who want to see more Stan Romanek material, a documentary about Stan’s case is currently in production, and it will present content that has not been previously released. Additionally, Stan will be speaking at the 2010 International UFO Conference in Laughlin, NV this February.
