Multiple witnesses spot UFO over Capua in Caserta, Italy (Photo)

Italian news sites are reporting that dozens of witnesses spotted a UFO over the town of Capua, and one group of friends took a photo.

Capua is a town of nearly 19,000 people about 20 miles north of Naples. Witnesses say that on the evening of Monday, December 15, a bright cylindrical object could be seen above town. Some reported that the light could be seen from anywhere in town. Others have said that the light was so bright it could be seen throughout the country.

A group of friend in an area called Tifata Hills, in the hamlet of Sant’Angelo in Formis, were able to snap a picture of the object. The photograph shows what witnesses all over town had reported, a bright, yellow, cylindrical object. Although the news websites caution that UFO cases need to be approached carefully before making any assumptions, they report the witnesses are convince that what they saw was “out of the ordinary.”

One Italian news website claimed that this was not the only recent UFO sighting in the area of Capua, although it did not reference others. It also claimed “2014 was a year certainly very rich in UFO sightings in Italy and more generally in the world.”

No more details have been released about the sighting or the object’s movements. So for now, all we have is the picture. Take a look and let us know what you think.

  1. The problem is that 99% of these UFO reports are so vague.
This leaves them open to the “Moon” debunk above.

When I made my report, I went into some detail.
Even with this, one debunker had to make a comment.

I am now expanding on my sighting with a 6,000 word article.
In addition, I am including three diagrams.

If you see a UFO, make a good, descriptive report.

  2. Hey. I no that they are out there, they live among us! Yeah you can say what ever you want, but we are not alone; trust me. I would like to know them and offers them my friend ship, and I even open my home to them, as long as they were friendly: and if you are one off them, come and see me, I would like to know you. Ok.thanks. Herbe.

  3. This really doesn’t look like the moon in clouds because there’s a prominent band in front of it.

  4. I just seen four lights crisscrossing over Paris (the west side of Paris city, La Défense).

    Description:

Four lights kind of dimmed or it seemed that way.
No sound, they flew in a kind of formation. Changed direction and the last one increased speed then they where all moving in line together.
    Time: 19h10
    20th December 2014

Well that’s what I saw and I have no idea what they where.

  5. Dec 15 was a half moon, rose at 12:20am, Naples time, and sat at 12:29pm. It was low on the horizon, as is the “object” in the photo, if not just below the horizon. Even if below, this could still be a reflection off clouds from across the horizon. We’ve all seen this at sunset. Not to rule out other possibilities, but without more info on times, movements, etc, it’s probably safest to assume people started waking before sunrise, saw the moon reflected, and one excited report led to others.

  6. Expect something similar in the west of Ireland in the coming weeks – then come back and ask me why.
