The first official trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming movie Prometheus debuted today. As we reported earlier this week, the first footage from the upcoming film was released on Monday in the form of a small clip that served as a teaser for the official movie trailer released today.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the newly released trailer as being “filled with quick cuts of space crafts, planetary landscapes, all-terrain vehicles, the interior of either a space craft or a space station and Charlize Theron running for her life.”

The plot of the movie revolves around a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth. The tagline that concludes the trailer reads, “They went looking for our beginning, what they found could be our end.”
