Campaign for extraterrestrial disclosure underway

The man who brought us the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure has now begun phase 2 of his campaign to get the President to admit that the government is aware of an extraterrestrial presence on earth.

Stephen Bassett was the organizer for the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure. He brought dozens of presenters to testify in front of a committee of former members of the US Congress “about events and evidence indicating an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.” The event was held April 29 to May 3, 2013 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

His event garnered a lot of media attention. As usual, a lot of it was tongue in cheek and made fun of his efforts, but some of it was less critical. Either way, the event was praised by the UFO activists. He was even awarded the researcher of the year award at the International UFO Congress.

Now, over a year after the mock-congressional hearings, Bassett is moving forward with the second phase of his effort. This phase is called the Citizen Hearing Initiative.

On his website, Bassett says on November 5 he sent 538 copies of a 10 disc DVD set that includes all of the testimony from the Citizen Hearing to every member of the United States Congress. He then asked supporters of his cause to engage members of the congress via social media requesting them to view the videos and hold congressional hearings on “extraterrestrial related phenomena.”

He says, ” This will be a concentrated three-month effort accompanied by substantial media coverage.  If congressional hearings are held, it is quite likely the truth embargo will collapse.”

Thus far there has not been a lot of media attention, although The Washington Times did post a short write-up yesterday.

Bassett is also hoping to leverage the power of the tweet and hashtags. He is hoping that supporters will help create a “Tweet-Email Storm” by tweeting and emailing members of the house and the senate. He asks that tweeters send messages using the hashtag #Disclosure.

If you would like to help Bassett “make it rain,” you can find more information on his website.

Aliens are certainly a hot topic in Washington D.C. right now. However, congress is having a hard enough time deciding what to do about the terrestrial type. Will a twitter storm be enough for them to put those concerns aside and tackle aliens of an extraterrestrial nature? It might be a task that even tweetin’ can’t accomplish.

  1. The gov’t has too much to lose and too little to gain. Disclosure is simply wishful thinking!

  2. Then the end of the world as we know it, it will be. Forceful governance is to end abruptly and bloodily should they deny the will of a large active and extremely persistent and intelligent body of the public. They know they’re in the wrong in the first place, even with reluctency and at the risk of their lives by any potential black group, they MUST end the charade that has been put up.

People are only willing to watch the same show for so long, and it’s been decades since they started reruns. On top of current international affairs and public enlightenment towards their true actions around the world, we are all ready in position to remove this body by force motivation wise. It only takes 1 switch and it could all smash down on them. Continuing to deny this will be one of those switches, once official hearings start.

Revealing them however may have an equally or more so impact against them, but eventually someone has to give, and force their hand with connections to push it to the public, and end this monstrosity. The end of Americas capitalist hegemony isn’t the end of America. We will stand strong against any foreign or domestic invaders with or without a governing body. The fact that we stand against our OWN government with weapons is proof enough, when they could easily mow is down with ammunition from the sky, but they need us. PEOPLE rule, not an inflated balloon.

  3. Its sad but true Kjvyn.

Also, most normal people on this earth are too wrapped up in their own lives and problems to care. We must look at other ways to bring disclosure. Surely the governments cant hide the truth forever.

  4. It’s a step in the right direction. The public’s views on ETs is pretty scattered even though most people believe they could exist. Until we get some cohesion on what steps we want taken, simply asking for disclosure may not be enough. How much disclosure? Disclosure on what types of ET data? We have to think: what exactly are we asking for? If we don’t know what we are asking for then how can we know when we get it? Do we want declassification of secure documents from intelligence agencies? Do we want the president to make a public statement? Do we want Area 51 to be dismantled? What?

  5. I kindof believe that the US govt has nothing to hide on this issue. Reason #1 being that it would be a fantastic excuse for a buildup of defence technology that does not involve alienating terrestrial foes and making new enemies. Even a made-up alien foe would be pretty beneficial. I don’t fully disbelieve in UFO’s but I struggle to believe in the so-called cover-ups on alien visitation. To add, those guys traverse star systems only to have a prang on earth? I doubt that too.

  6. Most noble cause, but the truth is DC will never disclose because that will open a big can of worms called truth, and when the masses find out how they have been lied to for almost 70 years, and how almost everything we’ve been taught about the history of us is false, things might get unpleasant. “They” themselves will do the disclosing, and the sooner, the better. Just sayin

  7. There are no aliens invading and observing Earth. It’s all the government. They built these “UFOs” for high that’s why they don’t allow us to go to area 51. They’re hiding these war machines. If they released it to the public then Russia will take our idea, and be the crazy Russia again and try to take over the world. If 200 years ago we didn’t have cars and there was a civil war. now we’re at helicopters and nukes. You can’t except us to not have high-speed “UFOs”.

  8. In the left corner – the mass-destructor Steven “Invasion” Bassett… and in the right corner we have the ironwill of “willies” – the US government. The referee is Mr OOOOObama. Here we go: Good lefty from Bassett there, sounded like “We’re engaged by E.T.!!!”. US steps aside with a “CIA torture on 911 terrorists manouver”. Right punch to stomach from Mr Bassett: “500.000 tweeters calls for truth embargo – please disclose”. Smooth deversion from the government now, looks at the referee claiming low punch. Warning for Bassett. What’s this? Mr. Greer entering the ring. Directly involved with the judge now. Yes, he says he’s got 500 UFO-witnesses ready to testify in court that the punch was legal. Obama just shakes his head and spin a E.T. joke while smiling to the audience. Media is in on it now, trying to pan the camera away from the headlines. There’s a banner among the public saying 9-11 was an inside job. Oh poor guy, hit in the back of his head with a cueball.
Bassett still going for a knockout in first round. Here it comes, a superpunch towards the higher areas of ironwills head: “a full DVD set to every congress member with high ranking officers and a retired defenseminister claiming alien visitation”. Blocked! And the government just smiles while it moves away from the ropes. Mr Bassett seems to get tired now, tries to interlock. Oh! What the… he got a ramming speed skull in his nose and the referee didn’t noticed it, as he was too busy with one of his shoelaces. I smell something real fishy with this fight. Yes Sire, think I turn that telly off for a while. TV is bad for my wide shut eyes.
